About

Advisory built for the plant floor — not the trade-show aisle.

RoboShift exists because adoption failures are rarely hardware failures. They are planning, safety, training and governance failures — and those are fixable before the purchase order ships.

Origin

Why we started on Victoria Street.

RoboShift Inc. was founded in Kitchener by practitioners who had spent years inside plants, integrator project rooms and supplier evaluation meetings — watching the same pattern repeat. Leadership buys automation under pressure; engineering inherits scope creep; operators distrust the cell; maintenance lacks documentation; safety gets revisited after a near-miss.

We formed RoboShift to sit on the client's side of the table: vendor-neutral, safety-literate, fluent in both OT realities and AI-assisted tooling. Our name reflects operational shift — the deliberate change in how work moves through a line — not lifestyle rebranding.

We are a private advisory company registered in Ontario (BN 528170493 RC0001). We are not a robot manufacturer, not a staffing firm, not an accredited training institution issuing credentials, and not a consumer-facing automation marketplace.

Principles

How we work when the stakes are production.

People remain accountable. Automation and AI assist motion, inspection and scheduling — they do not replace signed-off human decisions on safety-critical changes.

Neutrality is non-negotiable. We disclose any prior relationship with a vendor we discuss. We accept no reseller commissions.

Safety is designed in. Hazard assessment precedes ROI slides. If a cell cannot be run compliantly, we say so — even when that delays a project.

Documentation outlasts projects. Runbooks and escalation paths matter more than inauguration photos.

Team shape

Small by design — senior by default.

RoboShift deliberately stays compact. Engagements are led by senior advisors with plant, controls and safety exposure — not handed off to junior staff after the proposal. When specialist input is required (e.g., electrical code interpretation, formal risk assessment sign-off), we involve certified partners you approve — we do not impersonate credentials we do not hold.

Geography

Kitchener-Waterloo home base — Canada-wide reach.

Our office at 72 Victoria Street South, Suite 200, places us inside one of Canada's densest advanced-manufacturing corridors. We routinely work on-site across Southwestern Ontario and deliver remote sessions nationally when plant access is limited. Travel is scoped transparently — never buried in vague "expenses."
